The Advanced Nuclear Project Portfolio Leader leads a team of professional Project Managers who execute all phases of advanced reactor projects delivering products and services to our customers.

Essential Responsibilities

  • The Advanced Nuclear Project Portfolio Leader has functional management responsibility for leading and directing Project Managers with diverse experience and responsibilities for the GEH Advance Reactors Value Stream.
  • This role will work closely with Product Directors and the Advance Reactors Value Stream Leader to forecast resource demand and staff project teams appropriately.
  • They work closely with the Project Management Office to measure project performance as well as mentor and train project managers in common processes and best practices.
  • Develop a talent pipeline to increase project management expertise for Advanced Reactor business ensuring our capability to meet growing demand. Drive increased project management rigor.
  • Performs strategic planning in coordination with other functional managers to meet expected future business needs.
  • Develops applicable parts of the annual plan for the larger Project Delivery team.
  • Presents product/program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leads (EB and SEB) across GEH.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 10 additional years of experience in large, complex capital Project or Program Management with demonstrated people leadership skills growing and developing a team of professionals.

Eligibility Requirements

  • 2 days onsite in Markham, ON office and ability to travel to Oshawa, ON

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills leading a team while developing a talent pipeline.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large, complex projects.
  • Experience in managing projects involving Advanced Nuclear Power Plants or First of a Kind engineering is desired.
  • Experience in performing work for DOE/DOD.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong established project management skills leading nuclear projects in a diverse set of disciplines.
  • PMP Certification desired.
  • GE Leadership Program graduate PMLP, JOLP, IMLP, etc.
